Also Alta Murgia Park Corporation, represented by the district advocacy of the State of Bari, brought itself a civil action in the process started on the last 18 th January in front of Monocratic Section of the Court of Modugno at the expense of owners, managers and collaborators of Tersan Apulia enterprise of Modugno (Bari), accused in any way of traffic of waste, garbage disposal and unauthorized trade, management of an illegal dump and fraud in business trade.
The next hearing has been scheduled for the 21 th February 2012.
Today the concerned area is the subject of a reclaim project estalished by Apulia Region to which the Park Corporation has given its technical instructions. |

The rich programme of “Waiting for Mediterre in Alta Murgia National Park” draws to a close with the sixth date scheduled to start on Sunday, 22 th of January.
The day will start with a tour guide to Necropoli di San Magno, leaving by bus at 8.30 from Piazza Bovio to Ruvo di Puglia,later a laboratory for the ferule processing and laboratory “the hidden secrets in the ground and the water. At 12:00 there will be an equestrian performance with murgia full- blooded horses. It will follow the interpretation of murgia dishes by the chef Carlo Cracco, by order only, in the Manor Farm.
As an alternative it will be possible to lunch with a 20 euro special prize menu in the farm holidays "Terre di Traiano", "Il Pino Grande" and "Paradiso". The afternoon will continue with the art exhibitions "Olio d'Artista" and"Tellus Mater" to end in a press release.
“Waiting for Mediterre” started on the 16 th of December with the meeting about the theme “BatracoMurgia: the knowledge of the humid areas and the amphibians and Alta Murgia National Park” and continued for three weekends on January 7/8 th, 14/15th and 21/22 th through tour guides, meetings and workshops, assisted free degustations and laboratories, concerts, performances, has attracted a great number of visitors, followers, experts and simple curious persons. The iniziative, that preceds “Mediterre 2012 – Forum for the sustainable devolopment in Mediterranean”, the International event organized by Apulia Region and Federparchi which will be held in Bari from the 29 th of January to the 5 th of February, has confirmed the opportunity to live the protected areas 365 days a year and to give credit to the National Parks the guiding role for a new development model where realizing grassroots sustainability actions.

On Saturday 21 th January 2012 fifth stage of “Waiting for Mediterre in Alta Murgia National Park” in Agro di Ruvo di Puglia.
The day will start with the tour guide to Jatta and Scoparelle Woods, and will continue with a wheat laboratory in Coppa farm holidays.
In the afternoon, in the old Polvino manor farm, in Agro di Ruvo di Puglia, at 16.00 is programmed the meeting “ The role for the safeguard of biodiversity of landscape and rurality, the moderator of which will be Giovanni Valentini, editorialist of the newspaper La Repubblica. The mayor Vito Nicola Ottombrini will give the greetings of the city of Ruvo di Puglia and the special commissioner Massimo Lavancini for the park corporation.
The works will be introduced by Lorenzo Nicastro, chairman of quality of Environment of Apulia Region. The relations will be launched by Giampiero Sammuri, President of Federparchi, continuing with those ones of Biagio Salvemini, professor of the Department of Modern History Philosophy, Literature, History and Social Sciences of the University of Bari, of Marco Gustin, manager of Species and Research Sector of LUPU, of Rocco Sorino, animal scientist of the Department of Biology of the University of Bari, of Rocco Labadessa, biologist of the Department of Biology of the University of Bari, of Luigi Forte, professor of Environmental and Applicated Botanic of the Department of Biology of the University of Bari. Later there will be the relations of Francesca Pace, Officer of the arrangement service of the territory of Apulia Region, and of Tommaso La Mantia of the Department of Arboreal Cultures of the University of Palermo. Angela Barbanente, chairman of the quality of Territory and Protected Areas of Apulia region will conclude the works .
